What Problem did I have?

Dear Dearest Mother,

Did I not tell you that it would be a terrible idea for me to have a roommate? I am so mad that you and dad forced me to have to room with someone especially because of my tiny problem. Thanks to you I am the laughing stock of my entire dorm not to mention the fact that my room mate HATES me. Actually I don't really like her much either. She is such a slob and I am constantly having to scrub and pick up after her. She doesn't put away the dishes right and she moves my shampoo in the shower just because she knows it drives me insane. Evermorning when my alarm goes off at 7:17 she comes and turns it off even though she knows that I have to have it snooze 5 times before I can wake up or else it throws off the order of my day. This is really bothering me and not only that but it is disrupting me in trying to take care of my school work. The one good thing that I am loving about college is me being able to work by myself. In highschool they make you work in groups a lot and in college that is a rarity and this really calms me down alot. It's almost christmas time and the semester is almost over. I know that next semester my grades would be so much better if you would just let me get my own apartment so I don't have to deal with the disrespect of these people who don't understand that I have a real condition. I love you and can't wait to see you!!

XOXO Callie

OCD. You did a great job. I would recommend behavorial therapy. You need to be watched and criticized by a professional.

OCD! Your entry was very funny. I liked it. I think its good that someone with such intense OCD gets forced to deal with the rest of humanity. Maybe then, along with therapy, they can slowly get over their disorder.

OCD! Cognitive behavioral treatment might be a good solution, or you can just get normal therapy to work past your compulsions.
